That seems to be the recipe for things going well for the 49ers. It certainly doesn't happen while they're playing on the field. Still alive!
And I have to say, they are probably the favorites right now. If they've shown that they can do anything recently, it's beat the NFC west in at least somewhat convincing fashion. They suck, but dear lord those other teams are even worse. The only challenge is beating the Rams next week, since that's a road game. Even this team will not lose that Cards game at home. That's not happening.
So basically, they're losing next week. Because if they win that, they're in the playoffs for the first time in 8 years. And that's not happening. But I will admit, it would be fun to see, even if it came with a 7-9 record, and even though it would mean they'd be picking 21st in the draft.
